 Dear Pain Free Foods

I just wanted to email you and say thank you, thank you, thank you.

My son has digestive issues – yet to be medically diagnosed, however I wasn’t waiting.

Your food chart is fantastic.  My son had a full meal tonight – no pain – the first in a good two weeks and he even seems brighter.

You do such a great job and I am so greatful that I was lead to your site.

Thank you again

Grateful Mum

Shar

This is Michael here, another patient your diet miraculously healed.

You cannot know how grateful I am to you, I was in agony, hitting the loo up to 15 or 20 times a day. Literature advised me I was "chronic" and probably required surgery.
I went for a sigmoidoscopy and it was an awful experience; never again!

I had a row with the 'inspector,'...etc.

As a child I suffered from"heartburn"  and it often spoiled my childhood, especially as often people believed I was making it up. We knew it was diet-based but had no idea about food groupings.

Now, after two weeks on your diet I have gone from chronic to total recovery from Crohn's.

Just before it died off I had two particularly bad days -- the flame of a candle always burns brightly just before it dies!!

A small sacrifice compare to how bad I was.

I used to almost pass out in the toilet, it was terrible, blood and mucus etc.... nasty and totally debilitating. There were times when I thought I was going to turn my colon inside out. I used to have to carry spare boxer shorts everywhere and I even considered wearing a nappy.

Thank you so much.

I thought I would report my progress after one week on the advised food plan.

First of all, the discomfort and pain that would normally start around 5.30 am and sometimes continue the whole day and on better days until 2 -3 hours after my morning "constitutional", is practically gone.  on the scale of 1 to 10, if before was 8 to 9 now is 1 to 2.  During the last week, I have not experienced any heartburn at all.

Secondly, I have lost at least 1 Kilogram, which is a bonus, as I really need to lose some weight.

Thirdly, I feel now I have more energy.  Of course a part of this could be psychological,  but I am not questioning it.

I am writing to thank you for your advice.  It has really helped.

I was worried when I first read your book since I was already eating a pretty good diet and I saw that I was violating very few of your rules.  The diet I was eating had kept me in remission for over 3 years.  My new flare-up had gotten very bad by the time I contacted you and I had never come back from a bad flare-up without prednisone.

After I read your response about the supplement I was taking, two weeks ago it really got me thinking about whether they could be the cause of the flare-up.  I had upped my dose in July and had slowly been having trouble until October when things went off the deep end.  On that day I stopped the (supplement type deleted by author) and within 3-4 days I noticed a change and now 2 weeks after stopping I had my first totally normal BM.

Thanks for your help in ending my first flare-up without the use of steroids.

Thanks, Kevin

Your in good health

Gooday Michael,  I am emailing you to let you know that I really believe this food grouping plan has worked wonders for me I feel years younger and  have lost about 10 kilograms.  I am booked in for a colonscopy on Friday but have decided I wont bother.  I just have a couple of questions if thats ok.  First  of all how long before or  after a meal should I have a cup of tea or coffee so  as to avoid drinking with the meal. I have not had an alcoholic drink since being diagnosed, is it ok to do so occassionally and what type of drink do you think is best to avoid any problems. I have become a fan of brown sugar muffins and have them as my lunch time meal and find them quite filling and great to eat.

Thanks so much for your time.  I really can't thank you enough for posting your diet online.  I believe it is going to change my life forever!  ...
I too went to Europe.  More specifically, Italy in the mid 90's.  At the time I was near my worst condition on 1400 mg of Asacol a day.  When I went to Italy my symptoms vanished!  ...  Also, when I went in for a colonoscopy, I had minor symptoms.  In the process of preparing by not eating for two days, I found that I had healed somewhat. It now makes sense that my body had a break from all the acid!  I mean, I was eating the wrong things with every meal and white bread and white rice b/c that's what the Dr's said would be best.  Then crackers to fill up even more, a snack bar (too much processed food)…uh!

Just being on this diet for 58 hours or so, I already feel lucid, happy, focused (I played some of my best tennis today)...it's amazing!  I feel like Superman again!

Sorry, I won't bug you for a while unless it's something pressing.  I'm just so excited!!!"
