Pain Free Foods | Terms of Service
By agreeing to these terms of service you acknowledge being advised by Pain Free Foods (a limited liability corporation) and author Michael Hohlweg, that the author/s and any and all contributors to either website content, other free content or purchased material content accessed from this website or any affiliate acting independently or in concert with said website, are not and have never been trained in any form of nutritional or medical methodology. Said authors are not doctors, nurses or any form of alternative or allopathic healers or experts. Instead the theories expressed in this website and subsequent books, emails, reports or any other information such as verbal, written, or video presentation are solely the opinion of the author Mike Hohlweg and represent his limited, untrained view of these issues and they rely on accurate or inaccurate research and opinions derived therefrom or other biases such as life experience, common sense or even personal observations accurate or not. Further you agree that no comment, writing or other direction given you in any fashion is meant to advise you on medical issues to the extent of not seeking medical advice, not accepting or following medical advice, only partially following medical advice or worse yet, discontinuing medical advice. After hearing or reading anything on this site or it’s contained or subsequent materials if you find yourself in agreement with such opinions and decide to make any dietary modifications accordingly, you do so at your risk and are directed to seek medical advice from your doctor prior to making such changes. The proper order of responsibility for your health resides with you and to the degree you allow, your doctor or medical community. Those two sources have or should have intimate knowledge of your complexity of circumstances and conditions along with previous conditions which all may be necessary to give correct, safe and medically acceptable advice including something so seemingly benign as modest dietary changes. We state categorically that we are not legally nor medically qualified to do so in any individual case including yours. This is due to our lack of knowledge of your personal medical issues or history, diagnosis, validity of diagnosis or complicating medical issues. Furthermore, personal dietary issues such as allergies, food sensitivities, simple food avoidance recommendations or medically related food related issues such as diabetes, gluten intolerance, multiple diagnosed issues, undiagnosed issues, or misdiagnosed issues, will rightfully be and remain unknown to us. Further, if you “told” us via any method (written or verbal) of such food or medical issues as described above, that we hereby state that we are not qualified to comment on their relevance to you or our program or advice and regardless of any thought on your part or insinuation on our part, we do not record your information nor memorize it, nor customize our advice or program as it relates to any such specifics of medical condition or dietary concern. Our counseling program advice whether received via email, phone or in prerecorded video consultation is generic and not specific to any knowledge of your situation or medical issues. If we happen to comment on your specifics or a specific in part of one, or many such topics, it is coincidental in regard to you personally and not an indicator of our knowledge of you or your specifics or any custom recommendations or diagnosis. You should not imply us having medical knowledge of you or expertise in regard to your medical conditions based on such issues or coincidences. We are not doctors, nurses or even alternative medical/healing practitioners. We say this not only to alleviate liability but because it is true. We have no training formal or otherwise. We have researched these issues, tested them to our personal satisfaction, which may or may not satisfy anyone else’s expectations, and then we present them and/or sell them to people such as yourself who have these medical issues or know someone who does. Expertise beyond these comments is not stated, claimed or implied despite your opinion or comments that you take to mean otherwise. Other comments such as testimonials are beyond the control of the author/coauthor as we received them from third parties. We cannot guarantee their accuracy or truthfulness and even if their condition or other symptoms are similar or identical to yours, this does not indicate that you will get the same result. Each person is different and therefore each person’s results, even when doing the same thing or following the same diet or program, will or may be different. The results that another person has or claims to have had are certainly not a guarantee that you will experience similar or identical results. We also reserve the right to modify testimonials as to length, monotony, repetition, grammar and other issues we feel benefit the reader. We do not modify the testimonials in any way to alter the meaning regarding the experience of the client, healing, symptoms or their opinion of the program, it’s ease or difficulty etc. In that sense, although altered at our discretion, the testimonials remain intact and honest. Most testimonials have sections of comments deleted for the above reasons and although our opinion of the final product is consistent regarding the issue or result being discussed, this “consistency” is a matter of opinion… our opinion because we have to do the work. It is possible that a third person might have a differing opinion of what was relevant or consistent. On the website and in the program we make comments and observations about doctors and the medical community in general. These should not be construed as our advice to not trust or decline seeking medical advice, in fact quite the contrary we insist that before embarking on this or any significant dietary change that a person consider the severity of their condition and the degree of dietary change and decide, independent of our opinions of the medical community if they should seek medical advice. In general if we are asked to generalize, we would say that many digestive disorders are potentially life threatening disorders and changing one’s diet while in serious medical conditions, diseases including digestive disorders is a risk. We are offering this program for people who are healthy enough to alter their diet without undue risk or consideration. If you know that is the case with yourself and you experience no adverse reactions or symptoms it is up to you to decide to proceed. If you have any doubt as to the seriousness of your condition or the effect a dietary change might have upon you, then you absolutely should seek qualified medical counsel. To any customer who has our plan but needs to decide on it’s safety in his/her case, we provide a free digital copy of this document to any doctor that you may designate. For our prospective customer’s information, as of June 24th 2013 (the writing date of this document), I have allowed two doctors to view the digital version in behalf of their patients. According to subsequent phone conversations, neither doctor claimed that there was any risk to following this plan for a typical digestive disorder patient. I personally described the basics of the program to a doctor friend of mine who also told me that the plan sounded benign to him. Although this is not a wealth of medical opinions, it is some indication that for a digestive disorder sufferer without complications or chronic symptoms such as bleeding, ulcerations, leaking gut or other potential life threatening conditions, the program is safe. The caveat I would mention here is that in some cases even a seemingly healthy person would have such issues and be unaware of them or at least unaware of their significance. Thus our comment that you need to seek medical attention before starting this or any health program where you change diet or other health related patterns. To make the meaning of all this clear, we do not wish to harm anyone nor through our inaction or any misleading comments, steer anyone into a condition of poor health. Our aim is quite the contrary. The fact is that even healthy people can have digestive disorders when traveling due to many factors such as stress, differing food and varying bacteria strains found in different locations. Similarly changing one’s eating habits, even in a healthy or otherwise safe way can cause disruption. Those who read the plan are encouraged to make dietary changes slowly and to change as little as possible. Eating the foods you are familiar with is an important part of this program especially in the beginning. this is especially true for digestive disorder patients because their digestive system is already compromised. Hence our advice for medical supervision in any case where you intent to alter your diet significantly. You may think that a diet program such as this is automatically going to alter your diet significantly but this is not necessarily so. We recommend a different group of foods per meal due to combining rules than you may be used to but we recommend eating the exact same foods that you are used to. This is why this “diet” is so benign. It is only the grouping of foods that is altered, not which foods you eat. There are exceptions to this, such as the five foods we call catalyst foods, which we recommend not be eaten at all. Again, not eating a specific food or five foods is not considered a risk by any doctor we have encountered nor can we see how it could be a risk. If you are required to eat specific foods for life or health and we name off one of those important foods for you as one of the five catalyst foods, please follow your doctors advice and continue eating that food. A person can (and will if they follow our advice) eat the same foods they are used to eating at each meal with slight modifications. Modifications almost always means the removal of one or two items from a meal which in my opinion is why even doctors who think this program cannot work will admit that it is not likely that any harm or discomfort will come of it. By agreeing to the terms of service herein you the purchaser agrees that you are liable for your own health, not the author nor his theories on your medical condition. You agree to read the entire program before altering your diet. You agree to seek competent medical advice from a source of your choosing and present them with the details of your condition and this program which we can facilitate for you on request. You decide whether to accept said doctor’s advice or not. You decide whether to follow that advice or not. Mostly we insist that if you begin this program and feel any additional symptoms or simply begin feeling worse that you discontinue the program and seek medical advice before your new symptoms or old symptoms become severe or more severe. Mostly we ask that if you receive medical advice that this specific program is potentially harmful to you in your specific condition, for whatever reason, that you discontinue the program entirely. We feel that this program is safe for a relatively healthy person with a digestive disorder and no other disorders or diseases. Likewise this program presumes no knowledge of you or your specific medical condition. You are to use this program only while concurrently adhering to any and all advice you have received from your doctor. Anytime our information regardless of how it is delivered to you conflicts with competent medical advice you have received, you are to follow your competent medical advice and ignore all our theories and suggested practices.
